Mr Ben Dapaah Board Member of Kuapa Kokoo Limited ((KKL) has highly commended members of Kuapa KokooFarmersUnion (KKFU) for conducting a healthy and successful election to elect new leaders for the Union.
He expressed amazement at the level of understanding and maturity exhibited by the rank and file during and after the elections. He continued that there were times in the run- up to the elections he and some stakeholders feared the whole exercise would degenerate into violence or would be marred by court injunction.
According to the Mr Dapaah, the prospect looks very bright for Kuapa Kokoo with the kind of structures and the unique democratic tendecies akin to KKFU. The KKL board member gave the above thumbs up to Kuapa during the handing over ceremony organised to transfer power from the P.C.K. Buah administration to the Ohene Agyare led Executives.
Mr Dapaah praised the old administration for courageously guarding the interest of KKFU and making it attractive as well as getting international recognition.He urged the newly elected National Executive Council (NEC) continue any good policies initiated by the old administration.

KUAPA BUILDS MONUNENT IN HONOUR OF COCOA FARMERS

The Union extended its developmental projects of building and managing schools,providing wells, boreholes, corn-mills, toilets,etc. to being the first cocoa marketing company to erect a monument in honour of the country's industrious cocoa farmers who contribute immensely towards to economic growth of Ghana.
Unveiling the bronze-made monument on 3rd August 2010, Mr Samuel Sarpong the Chief Executive of Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly applauded Kuapa Kokoo for its vision and foresight. ''It is important in the life of every corporate body, that a landmark is established for the sake of posterity and Kuapa Kokoo is leaving a legacy for the city of Kumasi as well as creating awareness of their existence.'' the chief executive said.
During the unveiling ceremony, the Executive Director of Kuapa Kokoo Farmers Union (KKFU) appealed to the city authorities to consider naming the triagle where the statue is situated after Kuapa. The statue is located at Adum around the Otumfuo Osei Tutu 1 Avenue and Ghana Water Company street. Many among the dignitaries gathered expressed similar views as that of the Executive Directo.

Staff Members Donate to Hydrocephalous Patient

This was in response to the stations televised appeal to solicit for help from the public and corporate entities to cover the health bills of Christiana Adutwumwaa. The total cost of treating Christiana's ailment is Three Thousand Ghana cedis (GH¢3,000).
Kofi Agyen Mensah, Administrative Manager of Kuapa Kokoo Limited presented, the cash to the management of TV3 in Kumasi on behalf of the staff. He stressed that the contribution came from the pockets of the staff members and not company's coffers.
Miss Pearl Kwakuyi who watched the appeal on TV3 was touched by the plight of little Christiana and led the campaign in the office to raise the amount.

Prominent among the personalities who commended Kuapa was the Municipal Chief Executive of Offinso, Mr Victor Amponsah. According to him, Kuapa deserve tons of praises for contributing immensely towards effective education in the country.
Mr Kwasi Aduse- Poku, Managing Director of KKL urged the beneficiaries to take proper care of the facilities for the benefit generations yet unborn.
