The wish of the entire village was to get a corn mill and through the request made by members of the Awaham Kuapa Kokoo Society to the Kuapa Kokoo Farmers Trust (KKFT), their wish materialized.

The request was as a result of the trouble the people always encounter by walking for about 4 kilometers to the nearest town to mill their foodstuff.

The expression of joy and excitement that was seen on the faces of the people attests to the fact that the people appreciated the project.

She further explained that the project was funded through the premiums paid by Fairtrade to KKFU, which was to finance the project.

On his part, Mr.Oheneba Kwabi, KKL project manager asked the community to take good care of the machine. He suggested they form a committee that will manage and see to its maintenance. Present at the occasion included; Benkumhene of the town, Nana Kwabena Kwakye, District Manager of KKL, and Executives and members of Awaham society and people of the village.
